Flick 🇬🇧 on Nostr: I’m sitting here, in my skeletal living room, and I keep looking up from my phone ...
I’m sitting here, in my skeletal living room, and I keep looking up from my phone trying to find the (absent) clock so that I can see what time it is.
And then I remember, and I look at my phone and know after a millisecond delay. (Why don’t I look at my watch? Maybe because it’s on the wrist of my phone-holding hand?)
And then I am reminded that they have had to switch to digital clocks in exam halls because kids are if not literally unable then at least taking long enough to read them that it throws them off their train of thought.
And while I do think that is in general a bad thing, I’m also not sure it!/ necessarily their fault or a barrier to future progress.
By this point, they have forgotten what time it is, so I look up from my phone—
