feld (nprofile…xyvy) I'm very familiar that there are a variety of arbitrary COBOL epochs (see some of my previous posts on this exact topic) but I could find zero references to that particular date, despite this guy and other guy saying it with total confidence.

I was hesitant to bring this up because it's hard to verify, but in many of these cases it would only have that epoch if they had an unbelievably out of date system--which they might.
