npub10d5zhp5atut9hcmyyslxdr07s65tj45q72wxvg229ajwjvmpqugq6lvvxa (npub10d5…vvxa) saaame. I actively dislike neologisms in fantasy, but broke down & created a word (& its etymology) for “nonbinary” in PoM because it sounded too modern otherwise.
OTOH, I enjoy playing with grammatical structure & making my own variants of phrases to “set the date” for my world.
Example: early on, Arin talks about being told a story a little at a time, but the phrase they use is:
“I had it in bits and crumbs”
I loved that phrase so much that it’s now the title of my website
