We're embarking on what I'm calling "temporary precautionary evacuation". We're grabbing our pets, houseplants, and best stuff and lighting out for the hills.
It's pretty unnerving, but hopefully everything goes well (with the rest of the world) and we can come back in January or so. If WWIII breaks out or something we'll in a better position to cope.
