They've got an undisclosed plan but we do know it must involve undermining core concepts around ownership and data privacy. I expect a lot of smaller instances will be forced down by the weight of federating Threads content. I'd also expect some the time-tested strategy of 'embrace and extend' to create ways that make Mastodon lives crappier and Threads the only stable place to be. My 2p.
