Guy writes in about our Afternoon Jazz program on the Specials channel:

"The reason I’m writing really has to do with a number of songs that get repeated every day, usually around the same time for a long while, then shift a little. It’s killing us.

"The music belongs together, categorically, but if you can take some of these out of the list for a while, that would be greatly appreciated. The ones I’m think of specifically are:
Dave Brubeck Quartet : Take Five
Miles Davis : Venus de Milo
Paul Desmond : That Old Feeling

"There are more but they’re not so ‘signature’ sounds as the above songs. Not asking for them to disappear but a hiatus would help.

*** So here's the thing ***
Non of these songs are repeated every day. They get played once every 5-6 days.

The Take Five track has 2 versions, a live /previously unreleased version and the album version, so you could say it was played the most. But even in that case, the only times those were played in the same day were back on Oct 14th, normally there is a minimum of 2 days between plays.

That being said, the "Previously Unreleased" version of "Take Five" is kind of annoying with a very, very long drum solo, so I won't be playing it anymore.

But the others are good songs, and they fit the format IMO, and they're not being overplayed.

Maybe he just hates those songs for some reason and it feels like we're always playing them. Time dilation / contraction and all that.
