Take what this organization says with a grain of salt. One of my coworkers (gay man) volunteers with them and he was quite upset that these attitudes are pervasive in students from immigrant communities. Like, no shit, dude. Bring in people who have less than positive attitudes towards homosexuals and that's what you will find in their children. They do these workshops in schools that have already identified a problem with homophobia (and "transphobia") so, yeah, they will find that it is common in the schools that they go in to.

So they did a study of homophobic people and found that they were, in fact, homophobic.
