For years I have occasionally cloned the repo of an open source project and built the docs from scratch to have a local copy for offline work. A couple of years ago I started doing that so that I wouldn't be flooded with ads when trying to solve a programming problem. I just found ads *in the documentation templates* of a project for the first time.
