I remember, before coming out as trans, attending a pre-conference dinner for LGM where the guy next to me started a diatribe about women in open source, and how they weren't needed.
Well, I told him to send me all the women who ever tried to contribute to his project, but it turns out, that number surprisingly was zero.
Oh, and our team got interviewed because the journalist was surprised it was majority women.
The year after, I came out, and we'd have been 100% women there :P
