I can't quite believe it yet even though he's wrapped up in a towel on the couch right now.
My friends (some of the only IRL!) will bury him in their garden as mine is too shallow and it's not my property (rented). It's so cold the ground is frozen and it's going to get colder so I'm going to have to put him outside. Since the fence also has a mesh topping, wild animals won't be able to get in, except squirrels who won't care.
Yesterday was very hard as I was still torn as to whether or not I should get my friends to take us to the cheaper vet (for euthanasia) which is quite far from here or let him die at home.
Finally I realised it was better he die here where I could still reach him and pet him through the hard parts. This may have been one of the worst cat deaths I've been through. It's just so sad because he was only 11 mos old. (He chose to be in one of their carriers for most of this time. Even before he'd always seemed to enjoy hiding out there - but not all the time!)
Thanks so much for your support my dears. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ 😿
(Also thankfully Debbie is doing fine and I believe by now would have exhibited symptoms of FIP. Of course I can't find the number of the woman I got them from and warn her about it.)
