Previous life: 1912 Craftsman in PDX, OR., Floors original with NO outlets. Currently, home built in '78, BUT to very old plans (def Craftsman/Early Century NE Farmhouse). Original fir floors, milled from the property. And STILL no outlets in the floor, anywhere. I'm not sure where you're at geographically, but maybe a floor-outlet salesman came through and did a bang-up job.",
