This is why there's some social media law in many countries which protects the social media firms against liability for the content; Telegram is a signatory to the 'social media intermediaries' of Section 79, IT Act in India.

It's hard to believe there's no such law in France or that Telegram isn't a signatory for it. Anyone from France, please feel free to educate me.
