postmodernists be like: you can have your own truth, I can have my own truth, everyone has their own truth, it's all subjective, how freeing, how un-authoritarian of me
postmodernists in the real world: not this truth, not that one, you're wrong, you're nazi, punch everyone I disagree with, kill them all for freedom and peace!
It is obvious to me that under the prevailing culture there is a deep fear of the truth, of objectivity (why leftist type kinda hate/fear bitcoin)
But ultimately, this authoritarian trend is antithesis to reality, where there exists an objective truth that individuals must submit to, such as God, the church, the state, academia, and so forth.
A potential synthesis could be the recognition that truth is both subjective and objective. Rather than trying to grasp the truth as a fixed concept, we should embrace the idea that truth is constantly emerging and evolving in the present moment. This perspective requires us to take personal responsibility for our own growth and development, as there is no authority figure to lead us or set boundaries. Our evolution will also impact how we interact with others and technology, similar to how Bitcoin changes our perception of value and money. A protocol like Nostr can help us explore new ways of perceiving concepts like love, acceptance, and authenticity.
