When I lived in the US I bought most stuff from Goulet and they recommended Noodlers Ink but yes, it does appear to have a mind of its own. Thanks for your recommendations on ink and paper, I appreciate it.

I have been to the Vancouver Pen Shop but not since 2008, I don't often get downtown and they don't have a website - only on Facebook which I'm no longer on.

Has your Vancouver friend heard of this store? Kerrisdale is a cute neighbourhood.
