Just to clarify... Nothing about that thread influenced me. I've been answering #mutualaid requests here for ~2 years and had answered one just 6 hours before those threads started

I do an order of magnitude more on GoFundMe because it takes my credit card. If I answer fewer here, it's bc I don't do Venmo or CashApp and so few accept Paypal

But also, I don't view #MastodonForHarris as a waste of money. Contrary to what that thread suggests, there are plenty of folks who give to both
