1/2 #LinuxDesktop Update: I think I've discovered the solution to my remote access problem, it's software called X2Go. Super easy install, a variety of client software and it checks almost all the boxes with good performance. The big obstacle was having to log out of my local session to allow XRDP. X2Go creates a new independent session that you can pause and resume later. Not quite the equivalent of Windows RDP session sharing but good enough. It also maps local drives, printers and sound.
