Senior England rugby players have agreed to new contracts with the Rugby Football Union (RFU), but only after raising "extensive concerns" about their workload. The 17 players, including captain Jamie George, will receive enhanced deals worth £160,000 each as part of a new Elite Player Squad agreement. However, the deal also introduces specific player welfare protocols and an exemption process to manage player workload.
