Once again, I'm no expert, but I'm guessing that 25.76 million trillion centuries is based on trying each possible character combination in order to get the password.
It seems like the pattern in XKCD could be defeated orders of magnitude more easily with a dictionary of common words, and just cycling through combos of 4 of them. That would mean that despite the character length there are actually radically fewer possible combinations to try.
Did I misunderstand something?
