I think you really hit the nail on the head with the thought that admitting systemic racism exists (and we benefit from it!) takes away the ability to say they did things on their own. It’s a pride thing. At least I know it is for my family. And once they acknowledge it and accept it, then they might have to DO something about it, which is…hard.",
