it's been really dry the last few weeks and today I've got a sprinkler going, one of those ones that doesn't oscillate but just puts out a gentle spray of water in a set arc

I went to change which way it was pointing and saw a bunch of birds (a cardinal, various sparrows) sitting in the spray fluffing themselves up and drinking water drops off the plants. they'd sit in it for a little while then fly up to the fence, then go back in the spray
