My wife and I are talking about traveling south for the holidays just to avoid all the social pressures. Last winter, I rejected all social events (although we did have some safer friends over at home). It's hard to be they only ones saying no, so we might skip town, head to where the weather is warmer (more outdoor activities), and take ourselves out of the holiday COVID pool as much as possible. (Of course, that means traveling during a surge, but I've done that safely before.)
