I thought sure I had shared this in December, but I can't find it - researchers at Northwestern University demonstrated for the first time ever #QKD (quantum key distribution; in this case the entanglement-based flavor, as opposed to the prepare & measure flavor) traffic over a fiber optic cable also carrying live Internet traffic, proving there's a path towards quantum and classical networks sharing a unified physical infrastructure. This will make adoption *MUCH* easier than having to roll out dedicated infrastructure for the #quantum Internet.
