But also for not forcing Trudeau to give in on proportional representation, amongst other promises...and for constantly lying about what is federal and awhat is provincial jurisdiction.

Singh's sins are always those of choosing political expedience and conflict avoidance over the truth and over what is good for Canadians. It could have used its position as kingmaker to actually help Canadians. Instead it chose to minimize risks in order to maintain its proximity to power. And as a direct result of that we are now getting a conservative government.

The Liberals were never going to be anything other than corporatist diet fascists, but Singh has had their balls in a vice for YEARS. Instead of holding them up for meaningful changes that would have helped Canadians actually change the system - things like PR, UBI, etc. - it settled for tinkering around the edges in a way that wouldn't enable meaningful change, but preserved its power.

Singh may be the least worst of the options available, but it is still inadequately courageous to do whqt needs to be done. Not god enough
