Okay. Julian Assange. I want to ask this without pissing off anyone, because I legitimately do not know.
Wasn't he accused of rape? And if he was, were the allegations ever taken seriously?
I am 100% in favor of Wikileaks and whistleblowing, and his work towards transparency. And if it was simply a smear campaign, and can be demonstrated as such, then I am willing to speak in his favor.
But we keep preaching about listening to women about accusations, and then something like this comes up, and suddenly #MeToo is too bothersome, and all women are liars.
Please, can anyone provide a clear, concise answer?
