It was Mother’s Day in the UK yesterday and my oldest made me a card (a beautiful one because he’s a skilled artist) and wrote, among other things, “words cannot express how much I appreciate what you do for me” and I’ve been on cloud nine ever since. Yes, I am bragging. I so often feel like a failure as a mother so this was very lovely to read from my teenager who hardly ever expresses his feelings.
