One of my ‘murican frend said that it was cause thanksgiving was for celebrating with the larger family and that Xmas was for celebrating only with the nuclear family (parents and kids)—do you feel the same way?
Canadian thanksgiving was today, but people in Quebec where I grew up don’t celebrate it at all, although it’s an officially holiday and many businesses close on that day
