By 2007, things were a hell of a lot better than 10yrs earlier.
I was earning more than double what I was in the 90's.
But the biggest screw up Labour made was selling the gold reserves when the market was low and deregulating the banks which allowed the crash of 08 to happen (it would have happened anyway due to the US corrupt markets, but impact would have been less).
Giving the leadership over to Brown was their last mistake. People just didn't like him.
