So as I hear up to possibly acquire a big boy Gibson, I popped into GC after my last meeting and asked to play a 50s neck, a 60s neck, and an SG. 1) I surprised myself with how much I liked the SG. The double-cut body gives you access to the whole neck and it was so light! It would take some getting used to the location of the 12th fret, since it feels/ looks like it's much higher up (but isn't--it's always the middle of the neck) 2) The thinner 60s neck was more comfortable than the 50s neck.
