Subscription based apps aren't for me but surely we can all recognise that modern apps require constant maintenance to retain compatability with OS updates with their constantly shifting APIs (never mind new feature and retaining compatibility with services they connect with). That costs time and money. Selling an app for a couple of quid and relying on a constant stream of new customers is a challenge and I totally understand why apps go sub.
