Is this the full extent of the damage to Trump's ear? A graze that didn't require stitches, possibly not even a band aid?

So why did he (and some of his followers) wear at his convention a white square cloth that covered his entire ear?

Was it to hide the fact that he (fortunately) had sustained hardly any injury at all?
