Christi Junior (npub1rjh…uefa) WhiteExodite (npub1xcq…h0nf) The only Castlevania releases I can think of from what I've seen that might fuck with it a bit are the Lords of Shadow games from when Konami figured Castlevania needed an edgy 3D action reboot trying to be DMC with Hollywood actors. Notably, the second one ends up having you play as straight up dracula. I don't think it gets too bad, and some seem to like those games, but if you take them from a Castlevania standpoint they are quite a failure of Konami's last ditch effort to make Castlevania into a blockbuster massive sales title instead of being a cult followed franchise.
Mind this was even before the modern audiences craze and what not, it was just trying to cash in on the same edgy action that DMC wanted to be rebooted with. It, along with the departure of IGA and his team, pretty much entirely killed Castlevania as a franchise (even if it did sell arguably decently).
