#WritersCoffeeClub 4 Oct: What was the first book you read that enormously impacted you?
There were many before this, I’m sure, but my strongest memory is of reading “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” under the bedcovers, after lights out (and there would have been much telling off if I’d been found out) around age 10… absolutely bawling my eyes out—but as silently as possible!—at the bit with Aslan and the Stone Table.
I guess I never knew books could do that to you until that moment.
