I get a lot of phone calls on the cell phone number I've had now for 20+ years. Most of them I just ignore if I don't recognize the number, or the area. The rare ones I've been answering recently are almost always people calling back a number they've seen on Caller ID. Caller ID numbers are easily spoofed by spammers. They're all very shocked when I tell them, "No, I didn't call you. A scammer called you using my number as the Caller ID."

There must be a lot of lonely people. So many callbacks.
