Legal pundits on cable news are speculating that Trump's goal in jury selection is to find one stealth supporter who can hang the jury and refuse to convict even as the rest of the jury believes Trump is guilty.

But would this really help Trump? I don't know how long it would take the court to set a new trial date, but if there is a mistrial due to a hung jury, couldn't Justice, Merchan just set a new date for summer 2024, if Trump has no other trials then, during political convention season?
