Rewatching Foundation for an upcoming podcast (skimming parts, for sure). I remember S1 as being a huge mess that I sort of liked, but halfway through, I realize that episode 1 is a masterpiece, 2 is very good…it's when they start focusing on politics on Terminus things get confusing and less interesting. I don't think the narrative they built there was as good as the central Empire one. Nonetheless, watching S1 without having the overlay in my head of Asimov’s Foundation is a much better view.
