I didn't care for the ability to block generic users, because I had long stopped looking at my timeline. I have been checking only my "Notifications", which has been showing only a couple replies or mentions per day.
But I had to block a couple hundred HEX fanatics because they kept replying to my messages with insults and HEX hype, which hogged my "Notifications".
Does that new "improvement" mean that all those HEX douchebags will reappear on my Notifications?
