I'm probably in the minority, but I've never really been a fan of Peter Jackson films. The action sequences are dragged out way too long and the shots are always too wide so there's too many things going on...
I actually like "single-shot" long takes but they tend to be narrower shots and focusing on a single character with chaos going around them (but the chaos isn't the focus).
