The Turning Folk are old. Older than what you and I think of as life. Older than stone. Older than Earth. There were Turning Folk dancing their songs of love in the time before matter condensed from the hot light of Creation. And our Universe itself is of their ilk, turning once round in delight. Breath is rotation.
