It was finally time to cut back most of the wildflowers I planted in the spring. I've left two tall plants that still just have buds; the flowers appear to be blue and not cosmos like these. I couldn't stand the thought of losing all the blooms that were still good, so I cut them off and put them in a vase to enjoy inside. It kept my mind off "things", at least for a while.
