Not that I need to justify this to anyone, but my photography practice involves very high resolution images, often designed for printing at over 4 feet wide. That's not for everyone - you can't see the difference on a monitor - but viewing high resolution prints is a very different, more immersive experience that the smaller images typically found on the web.
I make the full resolution available so people who want them can have prints made locally.
