Chema Hernández Gil (npub1gg5…vxnm) idk, as long as colonial, capitalist violence continues, there are always fresh waves of immigrants and refugees. as the global climate gets hotter, more people will find their land uninhabitable and move to where the weather is less likely to kill them. i think you'll probably see more of what has already been happening for the last 15 years or so.
there is a question of whether or not food price instability in Syria, caused by extreme drought and desertification, may have been a factor in why the Syrian Arab Spring happened, ie parts of Syria are too hot for humans to live in.
