I wouldn’t touch Vegas with a barge pole, but I prefer forests of trees, not concrete jungles, for escaping the crush of society. My brother goes there for work often, and when I was like “ewwww”, he said there is a Mount Charleston (or something) where he can rock climb, and be in nature.
Most of the people I grew up with barely left their own city, let alone State, so traveling abroad will seem very foreign to them.
If they do leave the state it's to Vegas so they can blow their salary away to the casinos and women. Not my taste of pleasure but I've gone to Vegas.
