I haven't found a single place on the internet... or the world for that matter where bigots don't show up some of the time, what makes places worthwhile isn't that the bad people are kept out but that the people who ARE there have something to offer and things worth talking about.
And the fediverse has this ... provided you like: math, education, science, vintage computers, video games, etc.
Which I do! So I have a pretty good time here. But it's still a narrow range IMO.
