The great silence: There is a good chance type III civilizations are simply not physically possible
Not life as we know it: I think we'd still catch radio signals anyway
The Gaian bottleneck: There has to be some planet that could send a signal, not very plausible I'd say, although, there might be a point that intelligent species exhaust their resources fast and can't stay stable for long, maybe millions of years, missing us; but I would say they'd at least leave some trace
Early birds: Very likely, evolution took billions of years after all, and Earth actually had very good conditions for this
Therefore, I believe advanced life is just extremely rare (as the other theories suggest, just framed differently)
