A woman in my local arts group described her art medium as "iris folding." I couldn't imagine folding irises, but I learned that it was paper folding in an iris (as in the eye or camera aperture, not the flower) pattern. Intrigued, I set out to see if I could create something similar. The result was this piece, which I titled Composition Vermillon.
