Quite seriously. The reactionary right has been doing this for decades; they have lots of practice. They started small in a disorganized network of thousands of narcissistic bullies taking over churches and driving out moderate or liberal voices. They moved on town councils, and then whole christian denominations, state government, every institution they can gain a toehold with.
