I think I might've had a goofy misconfiguration on the #FRZ streaming server for months. A person here pointed out some strange errors, and after I gave up and just restarted the whole mess I saw some unfamiliar SSL errors in the logs. Someone found a fix for them at
https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/23716.
The happy news is I haven't seen the little server screaming along this quickly in ages.
