3/ Nobody involved with a place ever knows its whole story. We all get fragments. Photos are only one infinitesimally small speck of that. But through them, we can imagine and dream about these questions. We have the miracle of seeing and knowing just a little that we wouldn't have otherwise.
Every place has these stories. If I had my wish, I'd love to know them all, but I never will. I still find it a source of endless satisfaction to wonder, to ask, and to share the bits we do know.
