Improved logging helped a lot! Now, one month and a week later the bug has shown again and I have much more information to haunt the bug down. Bug is pretty much located, but not understood totally by me, I think (hope) it will be fixed tomorrow.
Currently a bug in the gateway/relay part of #Voptop is investigated. The bug has been seen a view times already, but could not be tracked down. This time we have some more information and could improve our logging. Hopefully we can identify the bug next time it shows up.
