Interesting topic. Here’s what I can see:
- boosting users where the metric is determined by the same user, sounds VERY risky: “My living wage is 27M Bitcoin. I will never reach it bc there’s no 27M BTC, so I’ll always be boosted to the top”
- We already have mechanisms to Boost and Zap (as much and as many times as the user wants).
- other fiat social networks have a much bigger user base (orders of magnitude)
- I suspect that if she does a per-capita calculation instead of an absolute, numbers would be very different.
- It depends on the type of content she’s selling and her target audience (i.e. selling stuff to boomers who are not in Nostr)
- Maybe she wants a fundraiser instead?
